Beatriz Camacho is a Colombian fashion designer known for her unique way of bringing beauty into the fashion universe by preserving the values of ethereal, genuine and feminine. Every piece Beatriz designs reflects her joyful spirit and compromise with the environment which is translated into carefully selecting natural fabrics that not only are biodegradable but also made to feel gentle in contact with the skin.

Twenty eight years ago, before the importance of environmental awareness was discussed, Beatriz always turned to fabrics made from natural fibers so that the BC woman felt good with what she was wearing in order to look good. Certainly, one of the brand’s core values is being sustainable which is «genuine from the very beginning, it’s an environmental mission that has always been present without being explicit”.

Hace veintiocho años, antes de que se hablara de la importancia de la conciencia medioambiental, Beatriz siempre recurrió a telas que estuvieran hechas de fibras naturales para que la mujer BC se sintiera bien con lo que llevaba puesto para poder verse bien. Ciertamente uno de los valores fundamentales de la marca es ser sostenible, lo cual es «genuino desde el principio, es una misión ambiental que siempre ha estado presente sin ser explícita».

ALOHA

This collection is an invite to discover a new kind of consciousness and a reflexion about the consumerism in which the fashion industry is being immersed into. The word “Aloha” means hello or goodbye but also love and affection. «A collection inspired by the poetry of the sea». Asymmetrical skirts, transparencies, feather belts, bodysuits that feel like a second skin are part of the collection as well as natural fibers such as cotton, linens, chiffon, silks and organza.

Esta colección es una invitación a descubrir una nueva conciencia y una reflexión sobre el consumismo en el cual se encuentra inmersa la industria de la moda. La palabra «Aloha» significa hola o adiós pero también amor y afecto. «Una colección inspirada en la poesía del mar». Faldas asimétricas, transparencias, cinturones de plumas, bodysuits que se sienten como una segunda piel son parte de la colección, así como también las telas de fibras naturales como el algodón, los linos, el chifón, sedas y organzas.

The BC woman is free, self-confident, a woman who follows her own style instead of following trends. Is sophisticated and feminine but at the same time relaxed and without pretensions. She dress for herself and enjoys the process. Has respect for nature and is inspired by it.

La mujer BC es libre, segura de sí misma, es una mujer que sigue su propio estilo en vez de seguir tendencias. Es sofisticada y femenina pero al mismo tiempo relajada y sin pretensiones. Se viste para sí misma y disfruta del proceso. Respeta la naturaleza y se inspira en ella.

A little more about the fabrics & prints…All of the BC prints are made in-house with a designer, the creative process behind them is very special, they’re handmade graphics that starts with a whole imagination carrousel until they become a fabric for stamping.

Todas las telas BC son hechas in-house con una diseñadora, el proceso creativo que hay detrás es muy especial, son grafías hechas a mano que empiezan con todo un carrusel de imaginación hasta que se convierten en una tela para estampar.

Beatriz Camacho focuses on a very honest and timeless view of feminity. Translating the intimate vision of the free woman through conscious creativity and ephemeral designs inspired by the poetry of nature. “Our silhouttes reflect authentic design through elevated craftmanship, transmitting quality, sophistication and freedom in each piece. Through natural fibers and attention to detail, we aim to empower each woman from her own feminity”.

Beatriz Camacho se centra en una visión muy honesta y atemporal de la feminidad. Traduciendo la vision intima de la mujer libre a través de una creatividad consciente y diseños efímeros inspirados en la poesía de la naturaleza. «Nuestras siluetas reflejan un diseño autentico a través de una artesanía elevada, transmitiendo calidad, sofisticación y libertad en cada pieza. A través de fibras naturales y atención al detalle, buscamos empoderar a cada mujer desde su propia feminidad».

O2Reserve & BC

O2Reserve is an organization dedicated to preserving and protecting the tropical humid forest in Colombia’s Middle Magdalena. From where they preserve life, stop deforestation and increase biodiversity. They have come together with Beatriz Camacho to create a capsule collection inspired by the species that live in the forest and with a strong purpose: to give back earth its generosity.

O2Reserve es una organización dedicada a preservar y proteger el bosque húmedo tropical en el Magdalena Medio Colombiano. Desde donde preservan la vida, detienen la deforestación y aumentan la biodiversidad. Se han unido con Beatriz Camacho para crear una colección cápsula inspirada en las especies que habitan en el bosque y con un fuerte propósito: devolverle a la tierra su generosidad.

«A place where the resources are abundant, the wealth is showcased in the form of live and nature feels in freedom.

The print in the capsule collection is ispired in the stamps that were used in the Colombians postcards back in eighteen and nineteen century. Where the lush vegetation of the place from where the postcard was sent was portrayed inside an image, conecting people and hearts around the country. In this case: the jaguar and the plants come alive in fresh cottons. Today we aim to connect hearts with earth and the animals that live in Middle Magdalena».

For any purchase of any piece of the collection you will be giving to conservation 20 m2 for five years in the Middle Magdalena reserve.
