This season's most outstanding collections

I don’t like to talk about «trends» that much, but I do like to watch the shows every season and analyze the details in each collection , from the fabric of the clothes to the whole styling of the models. I like to think about what inspired the designer to create each piece and what it tries to embody, I’m always so fascinated by the idea of the model representing a character just by the clothes they’re wearing.

In this article i’ll highlight my favorite shows and looks of the season, in my opinion the ones that really captured the new ways fashion is moving forward.

16Arlington

Party-ready is what defines the London based label, feathers and sequins make each piece a staple for a night out. This collection is very special, since is the first one after Federica Cavenati (co-founder) passed away last year. Marco Capaldo, life and business partner, payed tribute to «Kikka» with a collection that is simply perfect, unique and that has a clear identity of the brand.

Coperni

Structured blazers with cutoffs made this collection the next must have for the fashion lovers. Somehow, i can easily see «Jules» from Euphoria wear this looks. This collection feels so well thought yet so effortlessly cool. The way dresses are combinen with Gazelles is my absolute favorite thing. So chic.

Brandon Maxwell

Dedicated to his grandmother, Brandon Maxwell created a collection where the core identity of the designer shows. Extremely feminine pieces,  always sophisticated.

Khaite

Effortlessly sexy. From leather jackets, oversized blazers and red lips, Catherine Holstein achieved the new sexy: effortless, uncomplicated and confident. This collection for me is the definition of the perfect basic pieces every woman should have; white tee, jeans, oversized blazer, black dress and a good tote bag. Having this pieces as a foundation and then combining them in different ways is the secret for a great style.

Nensi Dojaka

How unique is this designer? I remember the first time I saw one of her dresses. It was months ago on one of Camille Charriere’s IG posts (one of my absolute style icons I must say) and I remember immediately falling in love with ND’s designs, I started following her and since then I just want to wear one of her dresses for the rest of my life. That’s how much I admire her work.

Fan girl moment aside, this show demonstrated once again Dojaka’s powerful and rapidly evolving creative ethos. Perfectly tailored suits, puffer jackets and leather pieces made it into he collection, making it even more exciting. The way she achieves lingerie-based pieces whiteout compromising the classy look is absurd. Can’t wait to see the next collection.

Fendi

The iconic baguette is turning 25 years. And Kim Jones honored Carrie Bradshaw’s favorite bag with pastel colors and embroidery. This collection was inspired in past Fendi collections under the creative direction of Karl Lagerfeld , back in 2000. The flowy, see-through pieces combined with structured pleated ones made this collection sophisticated and special.

Prada

The basics, elevated. Details like the triangular Prada logo makes up for the new tank top everyone’s going to wear this next season. See-through, embellished midi skirts & dresses create the perfect combination to the classic tank top. Seeing Hunter Schafer walk the runway made it feel even more special and current.

Missoni

The signature print from the Italian brand always reminds me of a luxurious vacation. This time, the collection felt easy and very street wear forward. The bright colors and cowboy boots and printed coats over leather were a winner combination. The styling was perfect, the bare skin and the brown eyeshadow were a good choice to keep the attention to the pieces.

Bottega Veneta

A freedom call, Blazy’s latest collection is quite the proof that Bottega Veneta is right to be the brand that everyone treasures to own these days. Finding a perfect balance between comfort and luxury is what makes every piece so special. Fringes and pillow leather bags are the right addition to convey the collection to a place of daintiness.

Saint Laurent

Probably my favorite brand, every season they manage to create collections that are absolutely stunning. With the Tour Eiffel as the ideal backdrop, all the looks were a clear representation of minimalist perfection.
